ANOTHER M.P. ENLISTS.
MR MEACHEN’S SERVICE. Per Press Association. BLENHEIM, March 21. Mr E. P. Meachen, M.P. for Marlborough, who has offered himself for overseas service with the New Zealand Field Engineers, has been advised that he is required to enter camp at Burnham next month. Ho is expected to leave for overseas with the First Reinforcement Engineers Company sailing with the Third Echelon. Mr Meachen had a long and varied experience in building construction work in many parts of New Zealand before his election to Parliament in 1935, being engaged in bridge building and the installation, of mining equipment. In the Great War he held a non-commissioned rank with the Eield Engineers. Leaving with the Fourth Reinforcements in 1915, lie served in Gallipoli and France, concluding with the Army of Occupation j in Germany.
