Hungarian Premier. Count Teieki (Prime Minister of Hungary) lias arrived at Trieste oil his way to Rome on a visit to confer with the Italian Government. Count Ciano (Italian Foreign Minister) is expected to pay a return visit to Budapest about the middle of April. Canadian Bacon. Bacon shipments from Canada to Britain have increased by more than 50 per cent, since tlie start of the war. Second Air Crash. An. air crash similar to tlie one in Adelaide on Tuesday occurred yesterday near Perth. Two Aero Club trainees, James Evans and Air Cadet Alan Maepherson. were killed. In making a forced landing Hie machine collided with trees and was smashed to matchwood. Oil For Germany. The’ Minister of Economic Warfare (Mr R. Cross) told tlie House of Commons, that Britain could not prevent tlie shipment of oil across the Black Sea to Germany as belligerent warships were at present not allowed, by the terms of the convention governing use of the Dardanelles, to pass through tlie Dardanelles to tlie Black Sea. Bulgarian Aims. Tlie Bulgarian Prime Minister (Professor Filoff) told Parliament that, though tlie nation wished to continue neutral, she was prepared to fight if necessary to defend her integrity and independence. He added that Bulgarian foreign policy did not depend entirely on Rumania. Solar Expedition. The Australia Government lias agreed to send ail expedition to South Africa to take observations of tlie total eclipse of the sun on October 1. The expedition will be headed by tlie director of the Commonwealth Solar Observatory (Dr R. Woolley).
