FRESH ENLISTMENTS.
DOMINION RESPONSE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 21. Dominion enlistments last week increased by 578 to 30,613. Those fit total 21,920, temporarily unfit 2425, permanently unfit 3814, reserved occupations 1829, sent to camp 15,230, the balance available being 4254. The figures for the districts are:— N’thern. LOCAL RECRUITS. For the Special Force there are now 964 enlistments at the office of the Palmerston North Defence Department. Since noon yesterday four recruits have registered. They are Messrs B. S. Kraiger, M. Hobbs, J. M. Kilgarriff and B. Tv. Metcalfe. For home service Messrs W .G. H. Sol lift and T. R. Thompson have enlisted.
