PATRIOTIC FUND.

Good progress lias been marie with the collection of funds for patriotic purposes in this district. The total amount so far collected is £l7B 12s Bd. Of this sum £6O has been set aside as a, contribution to the Fighting Services Welfare Appeal, and this latter fund now stands at £9B 3s 4d. The secretary of the Woodville and District Patriotic Society (Mr D. S. T„ Keay) has supplied the following information in connection with the amounts collected to date : —Borough office list, £l7 19s; Kumeroa list, £7 19s 6d ; Papatawa-Mangarawa-Maharaliara, West Sub-commit-tee, £2O; Ngawapurua list, £l3 7s 6d; sale of bull, £6 10s; Woodville borough collections, £72 5s 9d ; Centennial celebrations receipts, £4O 10s lid; total, £l7B 12s Bd. .
