HIGH SCHOOL BEAT HOROWHENUA. The Palmerston North Boys’ High School second eleven scored an easy win, on the first innings. over the Horowbcnua College first eleven, on Monday. High School made 152 runs in their strike (Elliott 45, Laird 36, Howell 15: Wilson 4 for 19), to which Horowlienua replied with 66 (Griffith 16, Wilson 15, Rolston ]2; Grant 5 for 24, Hardic 4 for 17). Horowlienua had lost 5 wickets for 53 runs at stumps (Rolston 27 not out, Griffith 14).
WAIRARAPA COLLEGE VISIT. Play in the annual cricket match between the Palmerston North Technical High School First Eleven and tlic Wairarapa College Second Eleven began at the Technical School grounds in Grey Street on Monday. Technical School had first use of the ivickct and made 82 runs (Doherty 19; Jaine, 6 for 29); Wairarapa opened their innings this morning and were dismissed for 50 runs (Hayes 27: Todd, 4 for 14; Ilastic, 3 _ for 7). Technical School in their second innings had. at the luncheon adjournment, lost one wicket for 34 runs (Wostor. 21, not out, Collett 13, not out).
