ASHHURST
(From Our Own Correspondent.) ASHHURST, Feb. 20. Next Saturday Hie Ashhurst and Linton Clubs arc to lire the first shoot of the Parkos Cup teams match. This was comeneed on February 3, but the weather caused the shoot to bo abandoned. The Ashhurst team will be taken from the following:—A. R. Symons, W. Jenkins, J. B. Scarle, M. Ifausmann, C. W. Turner, R. A. Jones, Mrs R.A. Jones, J. Henson, S. J. Brookie, and K. S. Romley. A club practice shoot will be held in conjunction. Despite the unsettled weather, the Ashhurst School’s annual picnic was held in the Domain. A band of lady helpers, assisted by the committee, had q busy morning preparing lunch for the 100-odd pupils and a number of parents, visitors and old pupils. The morning was occupied on the swings and round-abouts, while the older boys played cricket. The children were treated to a' bountiful lunch with sqft drinks. ' Special thanks were duo to Mr Davis (secretary) for the efficient manner hi which the outing was organised, and to all the ladies who assisted and to those residents who generously donated to the picnic fund.
