(From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON, Feb. 19. Mr and Mrs R. Read, of Union Street, and Miss E. Devonshire have returned from a visit to Wanganui. The latest enlistments for the Special Force in Palmerston North include the name of Mr T. Terry, of Foxton. Owing to the inclement weather on Saturday afternoon, the garden party organised by the Women’s Institute, which was to have been held at the residence of Mrs F. Procter, of Purcell Street, look place in the Anglican Sunday school room. There was a ]>oor attendance. Mrs E. Brown (president) thanked those who* had assisted in any way with the function.. Mrs W. U. Byno won a. competition for bottled fruit.
