FATAL COLLISION.

TWO CARS INVOLVED. WANGANUI, Sept. 23. One person was killed and three people received injuries which necessitated their removal to the Wanganui Hospital when two motor-cars collided near the Warrengate turn-off on the main Wanganui-Palmerston North highway about 11 p.m. yesterday. The victim was:

JAMES HAGGART, aged about 40 years, employed at Bonny Glen,

near Marton

Those injured are : —Airs Haggart, shock, condition satisfactory; Basil Haggart, aged 12 years, minor cuts, condition satisfactory; John Haggart, aged 10 years, minor cuts, condition satisfactory. Two yronnger childrcVi, one a baby girl, escaped injury. Mr Haggart was driving with his wife and family to Bonny Glen, where he is employed, and the other vehicle was travelling toward Wanganui. It was driven b.y Mrs M. E. Buffer, who was accompanied by Mr Buffer, senr.
