MEETING-HOUSE RAZED.

TE ORE ORE LANDMARK. Per Press Association. MASTERTON, Sept. 23. Fire completely demolished the historic Te Ore Ore Maori meetinghouse yesterday. Everything in the building was lost. The meeting-house was a landmark in the To Ore Ore district and was erected 60 years ago. It contained many valuable carvings and other’relics associated with the Maori race. Proposals had been oii foot during recent months for the remodelling of the building and a fair amount of money had been raised for that purpose.
