Play was held deep in Mangatainoka's territory until Staples found the line. From the line-out Konini secured the leather and Bernoy dived for the Hue, but he was held up. Konini held play in "Mangatainoka's territory and a free kick was awarded Mangatainoka. play returning to .midfield. The game became very willing and Hunt picked up. taking play with a fast run to near the twenty-five mark. Mangatainoka were on the attack, but. they weni well marked. The game ended Mangatainoka 6. Konini 3. The trophies were later presented to the captains of the winning teams.
