A disappointing display was given by “King Kong” Cox and Paul Jones in a wrestling contest on Saturday. ] •Jones took a fall in the fourth round and the referee brought the proceedings to a- close early in the seventh when he awarded a penalty fa 11 against Cox for persistent use of a strangle hold. BLOMFIELD BEATS DONOVAN. Per Press Association. GREYMOUTH, July JO. “Lofty” Blomfield beat Jack Donovan last night. Donovan secured a body press in the third round, Blomfield equalising with an octopus clamp in the sixth. In the seventh Donovan applied a lull-nelson, Blomfield dragging him to a corner and throwing himself back with force from the ropes to pin Donovan. BOESCII AND WOODS DRAW. Per Press Association.
