(from Our Own Correspondent.) OTAKI, July 28. Air and Airs O. IT. Howell, who have boon on a visit to Otaki, returned to Taihape yesterday. At. a meeting of the committee in connection with 'Arbor Day celebrations, it was decided to have a trce-plainting ceremony at the Otaki School in the morning, and at the beach in the afternoon, when the seafront will be planted. Under the guidance of Air Ilindc, woodwork instructor, the college boys at Otaki are making a Maori model meeting-house, which will be on exhibition at the Centennial Kxhibition. At tile annual general meeting of the Otaki Trotting Club the election of officers resulted: Patron, Air K. C. Lowry, ALP.; president, Air J. Bcbbinglon; vice-presi-dents. Messrs W. Alcßeth, O.
