RONGOTEA.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) ROXGOTEA, July 29. A well-attended meeting of farmers was held in the Coronation Hall to discuss tho working of the bobby calf pool in this district. The chair was taken by Mr W. Jacobs, who slated that, while dairy men approved of the pool, they felt they were not receiving a satisfactory price as compared with that being paid by proprietary companies. He expressed bis disappointment that the members of tlie liongotea and district committee bad not accepted an invitation to be present. He. called for an expression of opinion, and' from the number who responded it was. evidently felt that they bad a grievance; much of it concerned the small payments they were receiving for calves. The following resolution was moved bv Mr E. O. Bond and seconded by Mr E. Nix: “That this meeting registers its strong disapproval at the committee ignoring the written and verbal requests to attend this meeting to hear any grievance we wish to make, for it is essential, in order to get the maximum amount of success, to have a satisfied group of suppliers.” This was carried unanimously. On the motion of Messrs R- FI. Guy and W - Matheson it was decided to send a copy of the resolution to the Internal Marketing Board. The signatures of all present wore appended to a copy.
