WEDDINGS.

BARSANTI—JORDAN. The wedding was solemnised at St. Paul's Methodist- Church at 0 p.m. on . .filly 7 of Nola, daughter of Mr and Mrs J. X. Jordan. Fentherston . Street. Palmerston North, to Andrew . Edward, son of Mr and Mrs J. liarsanti, Main Street, Palmerston North. 1 The church was artistically decorated hy ATiss Sheila Parker, cousin of the hrifle. The ceremony was performed 1 hv Ttev. Clarence Eaton, and Mr Ti'Ct • gurtha was at the organ. The hride presented a charming P'cture as she entered the. church on the arm of her father. She was gowned in a graceful frock of magnolia satin, cut on classical lines, the neckline being softly draned to form a A' 1 at the point of which was a spray of orange blossom. A row of tinv satin buttons added a finishing touch to the hack- of the bodice, from Ihe necklin" to the waist. Buttons also trimmed the* full-shouldered sleeves which came - to a point over tlm hands. Below the • waist-Pne a deep V was formed from which flowed a graceful full train. The long veil of cream net fell in soft folds from a circlet, of orange, blossom, which, was placed towards the back of the head. Cream velvet shoos and a fragrant shower bouquet of roses, freesias, narcissi and maidenhair fern completed this delightful bridal toilette. Iu attendance on the hride were Hiss Daphne Eggers (chief), and M : ss Elina B'rsanti. who wore exquisite Full skirts and frocks of gold taffeta, with muffs to tone, trimmed with sprays of violets and streamers to match. A spray of violets also finished the neckline of the bodices. In thenhair they wore haloes of gold leaves. Mr 1,. Bnrsanti carried out the duties of best man: Mr AY, F’.llcy was the groomsman, and Messrs Peter Jordan and Duncan McColl were the ushers at the church. A rec ption was held afterwards at the P.D 0. tearooms where the guests were received hv Mr and Mrs Jordan and Mr and Airs Rarsanti. Airs Jordan lviis wearing a model gown of region blue satin faille cut on princess lines with full sleeves of neodlcrnn lace, a matching posy, and a spring model hat. Afrs Bnrsanti was gowned in silk net over black satin and black taffeta coatee, with a cyclamen shoulder spray al-o a smart spring model hat. Brule of place on the bridal table was taken by a beautiful three-tiered cream and gold wedding cake, which had Ig-en made and presented by the bridegroom’s mother. On the evening of May JO a very pretty wedding was solemnised at All I Saints' Church, Palmerston North, I when AYinifred Beatrice. youngest daughter of the late Air and Airs A. Burns, of Palmerston North, was married to Harold Thomas, youngest sou of Air and Mrs Charles Bartlett, late of Palmerston North. Rev. Canon G. Y. AYnodward officiated and AJr J. Holmes Rnnnicles was at tlic organ. The hride. who was given away hv a friend. Mr R. Lawson Bennett, was attired in a lovely trained gown of white needle-run lace over while satin, fashioned on grncelul lines, with a heart-shaped neck. Jf had long, tight-fitting sleeves finished with points over the hack of- the hands. A tiara of orange blossom held a Brussels net veil in place. AYhiLo satin shoes completed an effective toilette. The hride carried a bouquet of lilies, nerines and maidenhair fern, tied with streamers of white ribbon. Miss (trace Burns, who acted as chief bridesmaid, wore pink net over pink satin. Aliss lola Bartlett was in a gown of green net over green satin. Both wore silver shoes. The dresses were fashioned with fully-flared skirts, the bodices and sleeves of coatees being fully niched with pink taffeta. Their headdresses were modern halo pointed Juliet caps. Both carried posies of pink shaded carnations and cyclamen, finished with silver streamer ribbons. The bridegroom was attended by Air G. Bartlett as best man. At the reception the guests were received by Aliss Burns, maid of honour, who wore a model gown of purple velvet trimmed with silver ' sequins, and a purple turban, and carried a posy of cyclamen and violets. The bridegroom's mother, who assisted at the reception.- wore a brown model frock ! and accessories to tone. A brown fur stole and autumn flowers iu a shoulder spray completed her toilette. About fifty guests were present, and the usual toasts were honoured, Rev. Canon Woodward being toastmaster. The large two-tiered cake was presented by the bridegroom’s mother. Mr B. Grndinger sang songs in Eng-i lish and Swiss. The bridegroom's gifts to the bridemaids were modern bracelets. The honeymoon was spent in Hawke’s Bay. The bride’s goingaway ensemble was of blue, with blue accessories to match. The happy couple were the recipients of many useful and valuable presents. JONES—YOUNG. The wedding was celebrated at St. Andrew’s Church, Wellington, on Saturday, of .Aliss Patricia Young, formerly of Palmerston North and Southland. and Judge R.. Noble Jones. C.8.E.. who recently retired from the) position of Chief Judge of the Native Land Court. Aliss Young wore a smart gown of fuchsia with blue accessories. Her attendants were three nieces, Aliss Joyce ALiller (New Plymouth) and the Alisscs Young (Palmerston North). For the present. Judge and Airs Jones arc residing at Eastbourne.
