’PLANE TURNS BACK IN FOG. Received Julv 29, 9.55 a.m LONDON, July' 28. The Royal Air Force ’plane in which Sir Kingsley Wood (Air Minister) was Hying to Belfast, turned back over the Irish Sea, because of bad weather, and was not reported for some time, but later it was reported that Sir Kingsley Wood was safe. Sir Kingsley Wood’s ’plane made a forced landing at Kirkby, in Lancashire, on a hillside, says a later message.

Air-Marshal Sir Sholto Douglas, Vice-Marshal Sir Christopher Courtney and Sir Edward Campbell, M.P., were shaken. It was later stated that Sir Kingsley Wood was shaken. The pilot and two of the crew were injured and taken to hospital.
