RISK OF WAR DAMAGE.
MUTUAL PROTECTION SCHEME. (British Official Wireless.) Received Julv 29, 8.5 a.m. RUGBY, Julv 27. In a written Parliamentary reply on the possibility of evolving a scheme for mutual protection against the risk of war damage to fixed property in private ownership. Captain H. F. Crookshank (Financial Secretary to the Treasury) states that the following have agreed to assist the Government Informing the conference which was announced in the House of Commons on July 17—Viscount Weir, Sir Ernest H arvey, Sir Walter Benton Jones, Sir William Clare Lees and Sir Alan Rae Smith.
Captain Crookshank hopes to convene tho conference within the next few days, after which it will proceed with its inquiry under the chairmanship of Lord Weir.
