As a climax to criticism lastingseveral weeks of Parliament’s rising on August 4, Lord TJoyd, in the House of Tiords. to-day, said: “I am amazed that in the greatest, crisis in history—which is no exaggeration Parliament should quietly disperse. Something might break out in Poland any day. instigating disturbances similar to ibose in Siuletenland.
“It would require two or three days to summon Parliament, but everyone knows what might happen in Europe in a few hours,” added Lord Lloyd.
laird Stanhope replied that to keep Parliament in session would encourage the dictators to believe everything they said or did was so important that we must always be on tiptoe.
URGED TO- TAKE GASMASKS
HOLIDAYMAKERS IN BRITAIN
LONDON, July 28.
Sir John Anderson (Minister for Civilian Defence) has circularised local authorities advising holidaymakers who are going away for a month or longer to take gasmasks.

POSTTONEMENT CONSIDERED,
Received July 29, 9.55 a.m. PARIS, July 28. Cabinet is considering decrees to postpone the general election for two years, and to place all radio services under the direct control of the Prime Minister (M. Daladier).
