One of the winners of a recent art union, Edward Vernon Reynolds, aged 21. appeared in the Magistrate’s Court at Christchurch and pleaded guilty to a charge of being intoxicated in charge of a motor-ear. He was fund £5, in default thirty (lavs' imprisonment with hard labour. His driving license was cancelled and endorsed, and lie was prohibited from obtaining another lor three years.
