SPEED AT BROOKLANDS.

CAPTAIN EYSTON’S FEAT,

(British Official Wireless.) Received July 19, 10.25 a.m. RUGBY, July 18. Tho highest speed ever attained at Brooklands by a standard dosed car was achieved to-day by Captain.G. E. T. Eyston in a stream-lined Bentley at 114.62 miles ail hour. Captain Eyston is tho holder of the world’s record for the fastest speed on land, 359.49 miles an hour. This was established on August 27, 1938, on Bonneville Flats, Utah, U.S.A., in his famous car, Thunderbolt.
