ENVOY RECEIVES INSTRUCTIONS LONDON, July 18. Sir Robert Craigie (British Ambassador to Japan) has received instructions from London and the talks with Mr Arita (Japanese Foreign Minister) will resume on "Wednesday. The British United Press correspondent at Shanghai says the blockade of the Fukien coast is tightening up. The Japanese announce the closing of the harbours of Santua, Loyuan and Schacheng by means of booms. Third Power nationals and ships have been requested to evacuate these ports. . . The anti-British agitation in Isinan ended yesterday. Chinese crowds stormed the premises of British firms throughout the city, wrecking Jardme and Mathieson and the China Lumber Companies' property. Japanese troops did not intervene until the British Consular officers urgently appealed.
