KUMEROA SCHOOL CONCERT

A highly successful school concert was held in the Kumeroa Hall, on Friday, there being a large and a very appreciative audience. The children acquitted themselves exceptionally well, a feature of the entertainment being folk dances and folk playettcs. Mr W. H. Hutchins, chairman of the committee, presided, and Mrs Hutchins capably supervised the supper arrangements. Credit is due to Airs M. V. Kemp (the teacher in charge of the school) for the training of tile pupils and the organisation of the concert. Pianoforte solos were supplied by Shirley Bryant. Frances Mackie, John Bryant, and songs were contributed liv George and Mildred Hutchins, and Gordon Davis. In a lengthy programme there were also items bv the infants, juniors, and seniors, while the whole school was associated with the production of various numbers, such as pincettes and some of the songs. The items were announced by Max Bobb. At the subsequent dance) Air G. Fairley and Airs Jones were the musicians, and Air S. Clifford acted as AJ.C.
