NORTH CORNWALL SEAT. Received Julv 15. 8.5 a.m. LONDON, July 14. The North Cornwall by-election, which arose from the death of Sir F. D. Acland, resulted: T. L. Horabin (Liberal) ... 17,072 E. R. Whitehouse (Conserv.) ... 15.609 Majority for Horabin ... 1,463 The position was unchanged. Sir F. D. Acland was (he former Liberal member for North Cornwall, beating Mr E. R. Whitehouse in the last election by 16,872 votes to 16,036.
