METHODIST SYNOD.

DISTRICT REPRESENTATION. During this week Dannevirke will be the scene of the Hawke’s Bay-Mana-watu district Methodist May synod, and ministers from every part of the district, from AVairoa to Foxton, assembled to-day in the Dannevirke church, under the chairmanship of the Rev. C. IT. Olds, E.A., Hastings. At this afternoon’s session the speakers were Rev. J. H. Allen (Feilding). and Rev. C. Eaton (Palmerston North). A public inspirational meeting will be addressed in the evening by Rev. A. K. Fetch (AVairoa). To-morrow morning Holy Communion will he observed at 9 o’clock, and addresses will be given by Rev. C. H. Olds, 8.A., Rev. A. BlnkemCrc (Palmerston North) aPd Rev. S. AVcrren (Napier). The synod will close on Tuesday afternoon. Seventeen ministers and homo missionaries will assemble, and they have been given hospitality by Methodist families in the borough.
