Over tlie gleaming satin oi her Irock fell a billowy veil of cream tuile, finely embroidered and field m place by a coronet of orange blossom, Slie wore cream, satin shoes and carried a sfieaf of cream belladonna lilies and begonias. Charming frocks of soft powder blue Swiss organdie over taiietas, embroidered ill a white daisy design, were worn by the bridesmaids, Miss Joan Campbell, of Palmerston North, and Miss Phyllis Pyeroft, the bride s sister. They were made with long lull skirts and the high shirred Empire bodices iiad short pufied sleeves and Peter Pan collars. Silver girdles encircling their waists harmonised with tlio silver Juliet caps they wore on their heads, and tney carried lovely bouquets of blue delphiniums. The little flower-girl, Frances Lissington, of Palmerston North, was a very dainty figure in her long frilled frock of blue organdie. Slie carried a pretty shower posy. The bridegroom was attended by Air R. Conole as best man, and Mr K. Whyte as groomsman. After the ceremony, which was performed by Rev. Canon A. Hodge, a
largo number of guests were entertained at a reception held at the Victoria Hall. The guests were received by Mr and Mrs F. G. Pycroft, assisted by Mrs M. H. Bees. Mrs Pycroft was wearing a smart gown of deep Wedgewood blue burgundy crepe, trimmed with a finely-pleated vestee, and natural shoulder spray. Her navy velour hat was finished with veiling and a feather mount. Mrs M. H. Bees wore a smart ensemble of black crinkle sheer and an attractive black hat and a shoulder spray in petuniai shadings. Mrs S. Franklin (Palmerston North), grandmother of the bride, wore a navy blue model frock and hat to tone. Mrs F. Pycroft (Palmerston I North. grandmother of the bride, wore a brown floral ensemble, with matching accessories. The reception was followed by a dance. The hall was beautifully decorated for the occasion, a feature being the handsome three-tiered wedding cake made by the bride’s grandmother, Mrs S. Franklin. Later, when the bride and bridegroom left for a tour of the north, Mrs Kay Bees travelled in an attractive clover frock of sheer sac, tho bodice finely tucked from the shoulder and zipped with coloured diamante. She wore a navy velour hat with plume mount, navy tailored coat and a handsome gold wristlet watch, the bridegroom's gift.
