NOTES.

Tt is expected that, there will be three club teams in the hockey competition this season.

AH' Barnett Goodman has been appointed nightwatchman for_-AVoodville and has commenced his duties. The town was without the services of a nightwatchman for a short period. Over the last few days the prevalence of influenza in Woodville has become considerably more marked than previously. Though not of the gastric type, attacks are particularly discomforting, forcing numbers of those who have contracted the malady to send a short period in bed. The occupants escaped injury when two cars were involved in a collision at the Woodville end of the Gorge on Sunday evening. The drivers were Air O. Daysh, of Clareville, Carterton,, who was returning from AVaitara, and AH A. R. Hill, who was returning home to Robert’s Line, Bunnythorpe. Each car carried passengers.
