SEEKING RECONCILIATION
Received April 18, 12.35 p.m. ZAGREB, April 17,
M. Dlatchek (Prime Minister) has agreed to the basis of discussion on tiie Serbo-Croat problems and a further conference will he held after reference to the parties. It is understood the agreement proTides for the uniting of two Croat provinces in which are 4,500,000 Croats and the granting of self-government, the Central Government continuing to control defence, finance, and foreign policy. The proposals will lie presented to Parliament by the new Government, in which the Croats are represented.
