SOUTHERN HAWKE’S BAY. Southern Hawke’s Bay Herd Testing Association’s averages for March, 1939, are as under: Group averages.—2B77 cows, 4321 b. milk, 5.5 test, 24.11 b. fat. Herds of up to 20 cows. —Highest herd: 20 cows, 6421 b. milk, 5.0 test, 321 b fat. Herds of 20 to 50 cows. —Highest herd : 31 cows, 5811 b. milk, 5.9 test, 341 b. fat. Herds of over 50 cows.—Highest herd : 58 cows, 5281 b. milk, 5.9 test, ’3llb. fat. Highest individual yield: 8701 b. milk, 7.1 test, 621 b fat.
