A competitor in the national dancing at the Martinborough sports held Vest Saturday, Ngaire Chatfield, of Woodville, a pupil of Alias Jean Scott, was successful in the following events: —First in Irish jig: first in hornpipe; she also wop the Paul Michael Cup for Irish jig and the O'Connell Challenge Chip for events under 12 years.
