Flock House and Bulls cricket teams had a close game during the week-end Flock House requiring only five runs for a two-innings victory at call of time. Bui's batted first and made only 77 (It. Field 22), the best trundlers for the op!>ositioii being Edmundson (3 for 13), Allan (3 for 10) and Hallamoro (3 for 17). Flock House replied with 124 (Edmundson 73 McAlpinc 37), Cutts taking _ 5 wickets for 8 rune. In their second strike Bulls added 132 (Lane 60 not out, Hohngdrake 21, R. Field 11), Allan having the best howling average with 5 for 20. Requiring 'B6 to win. Flock House had lost 7 wickets for 81 at the close of play, Hallamoro making 48, Bailie 14 and AlcAlpine 13. Carter took 5 wickets for 29. Mr and Mrs A. K. B. Pearce, who arcon a motor t.our of the North . Island, have been spending a few days with Aire A. 11. Escott, Bulls. Mr C. Lcgg has gone to reside in Christchurch.
