OFFICE TO REMAIN.

CZECHOSLOVAK CONSUL. POSITION IN DOMINION. No action has yet been taken to bring about a change in the consular representation of Czechoslovakia in New Zealand, according to a statement made earlier this week by Air R. M. Algie Consul for Czechoslovakia in Auckland. He said the Germans had occupied Bohemia and M ora via, the Czech portions of Czechoslovakia, and had established a do facto protectorate. The legality of this protectorate had not been recognised by the United States and France, while England was considering the matter. Mr Algie said lie took the view that the consulate must continue as Great Britain had not yet recognised the new order. The German Consul at Vellingfon had made no move to claim the consulate on l>chalf of the Reich, nor, so far as he knew, had the yice-Con-Sills in Wellington and Christchurch }>een approached. He added that until he received instructions from tho Con-sul-General in Sydney ho would continue to exercise his office.
