DRAMA OF ANTARCTIC.
THREE CATCHERS ABANDONED. Received March 25, IT a m FREMANTLE, March 20. Officers of the Japanese whaling ships which have arrived at l'remantlc stated that three catchers had been abandoned in the Antarctic, and they feared that they would be crushed to pieces by ice. The catchers were sheltering in a bay when the mouth of the bay closed upon them. For ' several days they tried to break through the ice, and then the crews walked five miles across the ice where they were picked up by another catcher which was standing by to help them.
