FEILDING STOCK SALE.
STORE SHEEP VALUES HELD. FAT SHEEP RISE 2s. Tho Feilding stock sale, held yesterday, < attracted only a fair attcndanco owing to j other engagements. 1 STORE SHEEP. 1 With the exception of an outstanding pen of 2-th ewes, for which bidding was brisk, the sale lacked animation throughout, sales having to be pressed. Values for most ; classes were on a par with last week's quotations. A pen of 11 2-th ewes on account W. H. Gibson made 23s Bd. L. T. McLean’s 239 4 and 5-yr ewes made 12s. A pen of 124 2-th realised 245; 30 do. made 24s 7d; 273 do. made 25s 3d; 192 m.a. owes sold at 10s 6d; 57 4 and 5-yr ewes realised 13s 9d; 269 5 and 6-3’r ewes made 14s, and 52 4 and 5-yr owes sold at 12s Id; 110 5-vr ewes made 12s. A pen of 96 2-th ewes on account J. W. Batchclar sold at 17s 6d; 117 5-yr owes r.w. S.D. rams realised 13s and 196 do. on account R. McDonald made 12b 9d. A pen of 20 2-tlis made 14s 4d, while m.a. ewes changed hands at 5s 9d, 2s 6d, and 7s 6d. I). Kilgour's pen of 48 2-th ewes made 31s 6d, and 140 5-vr ewes sold at 12s 9d. T. Collins disposed of a pen of 15 2-th owes at 255. Wether lambs sold oil a par with late rates, but one or two good lines made up to 14s 6d. Few ewe lambs were offered. Quotations: Wether lambs, 3s Id, 4s 9d, 5s 7d, 65 9d, lie 6d, 12s, 14s 6d ; owe do., 17s 6d. FAT SHEEP. There was a good inquiry for the fat sheep offered in a limited supply, and wether and ewe values were fully 2s above schedule rates, while lambs sold on a par with the prices offered by the works. Ewes: 6 at 11s 6d, 13 at 12s lOd. FAT CATTLE. Prices realised for the small offering of fat cattle were as follow: —Cows: £3 10s, £3 15s, £3 17s 6d, £4 ss, £4 7s 6d, £4 10s, £4 15s, £5, £5 10s. P.A. cows and heifers: 6 on account L. A. .T. Henson, £5 15s and £6. Runners: £3 15s and £4 15s. DATRY CATTLE. Heifers in milk. —£5 ss, £6 ss. STORE CATTLE. Cows.—£l 15s, £1 17s 6d, £3 10s 6d, £3 10s, £3 12 s 6d. Wean or heifers: £2, £2 ss, £3 ss. 13 months steers: £4 4s. ASHHURST SALE. Dalgetv and Co.. Ltd., report on their usual fortnightly sale held at Asbhurst on Wednosdav, when thcro was an average yarding of sheep and a small entry of cattle. Tho sheep comprised mainly two or three reputable lines of breeding ewes and for these wo report a good sale at ruling rates. An odd pen of fat sheep also sold well. The cattle entry did not cxeite much competition, owing to the works buyers not being kern to operate, but wo report a total clearance in this department. We quote: Five-year ewes, 14s 8d; small 6-til and 4-yr ewes, r.w. S.LX, 14s Id; m.a. ewes, 12s; fat b.f. 2-tooths, 20s 6d; fat cows ex dairy, £4 10s, £4 15s, £5 2s 6d, to £6 2s 6d; fat heifers, £4 17s 6d; Jersey bull, £5; store cows, £2 lCb to £3 ss; slips, £B.
