PICNIC FUNCTION.

PUPILS OF Alias RAAYLINS. Glider ideal weather conditions and in delightful surroundings, the annual picnic of the junior pupils of Aliss Evelyn Rawlins took place at the Fsplanade last Saturday. A very enjoyable time was spent by the children, who made various excursions to the swings, paddling pool arid river. The following are the results of a sports programme, which was later conducted bv Aliss E. Rawlins, Airs J. Riddle and Air C. E. Taylor: Girls. —Under 8: Beth Crawford 1. Senior girls: Julanno Perrin 1, Mary Cook 2. Wheelbarrow: Jukuine Perrin and Alary Cook 1. Three-leg-ged : Polys Murray and Prudence Gardner 1 Boys.—Under 7: John Piddle 1, Max McDowell 2. Brian Kirk 3. Under H>: Raymond Clegg 1, Graham Kirk 2. Senior boys: Norman Allen 1 Murray Turnbull 2. Wheelbarrow: Penda Ayres 1, Graham Kirk 2. Three-leg-ged : Norman Allen and Alurray Turnbull I. Slow bicycle: Eileen Tucker l, Pelys Alurray 2. Airs Rawlins and Aliss Rawlins, who superintended the tea arrangements. were assisted bv Mesdames C. E. Tavlor, Garde Griinsliaw. J. Riddle, and AI isses Baldwin and Alvm RoFore dispersing, on behalf of the children, Airs J. Riddle thanked Aliss Rawlins, for whom cheers were given.
