At the wool sales 8595 halos were offered, including 5529 from New Zealand and 72UG were sold. A moderate selection, consisting chiefly of crossbreds, met with keen competition. Late rates generally were maintained. New Zealand greasy crossbreds branded Hauanu averaged 9J, top price 9sd; branded Owhena, averaged BJd. top price, lOfd ; Patuknwa, averaged 9Jd, top price 102 d.
