KEEN COMPETITION. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Received March 25, 1.45 p.m. LONDON, March 24. At the wool sales 8595 halos were offered, including 5529 from New Zealand and 72UG were sold. A moderate selection, consisting chiefly of crossbreds, met with keen competition. Late rates generally were maintained. New Zealand greasy crossbreds branded Hauanu averaged 9J, top price 9sd; branded Owhena, averaged BJd. top price, lOfd ; Patuknwa, averaged 9Jd, top price 102 d.
