VICAR’S STAND.

REFUSAL TO FIGHT. Per Press Association. HAMILTON. March 24. “I refuse to take un arms against a man of any other nation with whom 1 have no quarrel, and do the dirt.v work lor someone else who will gain by it. I prefer the firing squad. That was my attitude in 1914, and it lias not changed in 25 years.”

This definite stand on liis attitude to war was taken by Rev. C. W. Chandler. Vicar of St. Andrews Church, Cambridge, at a public meeting in Hamilton last evening at which the question of “You and Your Attitude to a Future War” was discussed.
