SMITHFIELD MARKET.
LAMB PRICES EASIER. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 24. The Now Zealand Meat Producers’ Board’s report of the Sniithfield market for the period ended March 23 states that with heavier supplies prices for lamb are a shade easier, hut the demand continues to be good. Wethers are dull with prices unchanged. Ewes are quiet, owing to the higher prices for new season’s.
Frozen beef is quiet and unchanged. Although the Dominion supplies are heavy, chilled beef prices show little change with a good demand. New Zealand porker pigs are quiet and unchanged, excepting heavyweights. Supplies are short, and prices are firmer. Boneless bobby veal is steady and unchanged. Quotations are:—
