STAFF PICNIC.

A gathering of approximately four hundred congregated at the Goodwill Motors annual picnic and sports held at Foxton. Everyone was welcomed and a successful day resulted, due to the efforts of the organisers, Messrs V. Turner. L. Carter, Mrs Meikle and a general committee. Messrs M. J. Greenwood and W. Ingram acted a.s starters in the sports events, and trophies were presented by Mrs M. J. Greenwood and Mr Weymouth, a visitor from Wellington. .All children present received ice-creams, soft drinks and sweets, and the catering was on a liberal scale. The cup for most poinis lor member of the staff was won by Mr L. Carter, and a special treasure hunt by Master J. AloMilhn.
