(By Telegraph—Special to Standard.) WELLINGTON, March 21. The stop-work meeting of the Wellington watersiders which commenced at 8 a.m. ended at noon with a report that tlie trouble is likely to l>e permanenUv settled.

Hon. P. C. Webb (Minister of Labour) and Hon. P. Fraser (Minister of Marine) attended at 8 a.in. anil remained throughout tlie proceedings, which, by a decision of the meeting, were not open to tlie Press. Further information regarding tlie settlement is awaited. Ihe Ministers concerned have submitted a report to a Cabinet meeting which was called after the conference ended. An earlier message is on page 6.
