Signor Gavda. in the Giornalo d’ltalia, says: “Italy is not hastening tier war programme, hut she is, nevertheless, not afraid of war; in fact, she is just waiting for it to break out. Her one desire is to meet face to lace those low-down champions on the other side of the barricades who arc shouting from the beer-halls of Paris, a f tor having counted on paper the millions of _ the men and thousands of the guns witn which Britain and the United States. and possibly the Soviet, might defend their territory.”
