The German Economics Ministry has issued a decree eliminating Jewish finance from wholesale businesses and industrial undertakings, including forestry and farming, according to a cablegram. Mr Ralph Mountain, first officer of the Imperial Airways liner Cygnus, has | been awarded the Royal Humane So- \ ciety’s Stanhope Gold Medal for brav- 1 ery for saving three passengers who were trapped in the erasli at Brindisi , m December, 1937, according to aj cablegram.
