BAND CHAMPIONSHIP SOLOISTS.

GARRISON BAND PLAYERS. The members of the Palmerston North Garrison Band who are leaving shortly for the New Zealand championships contest include Messrs P. Cowlishaw (who has won the New Zealand championship in his class on two occasions), H. Guthrie (1934 New Zealand champion), and R. Wood (1934 juvenile championship), C. Martin, a promising player of 13 years, accompanying the members. The members and the competitions they are entered for are:—Messrs B. Register (B flat cornet, quartette); G. Martin (bovs’' solo, tenor horn solo, quartette); H. Cairns (B flat baritone solo); L. Curtis (I* flat baritone solo); H Guthrie (euphonium solo, quartette) R Wood (tenor trombone solo), P. Cowlishaw (E flat bass solo).
