SHIPS BATTERED.
STORM IN ENGLISH CHANNEL. (British Official AA’ireless.) RUGBY. Jan. 24. Badly battered in the worst storm known on the Cornish coast for rr.any years, no fewer than eight steamers put into Falmouth harbour to-'day and four others are on their way to the port. A man was washed overboard from the-steamer Langlee Brook, and other ■ships report that their crews suffered broken lege and ribs and other injuries.
