“Co-operation with New Zealand on the London butter market would produce a rich reward for both the Australian and New Zealand producers,’’ said Mr J. R. King, General Manager of the Producers’ Co-operative Distributing Society, Ltd., at the annual meeting of the company.
Mr King said ho bad been impressed by the efficlimt way in which the New Zealand Dairy Department was handling the marketing of produce in London. It was essential for Australia and New Zealand to work together and to collaborate on butter consignments to outports.
The withholding of supplies on overloaded markets should also be the joint work of the Australian Dairy Produce Board and the New Zealand Dairy Department, Mr King added. This would do away with undue rises and falls.
