KITCHEN EVENING.

In view of her approaching marriage, Miss Kathleen McKenzie was the guest-of-honour at a kitchen evening given by Mrs A. Topic. The evening was spent in dancing, games and musical items. After supper, Miss McKenzie opened a large number of gifts and Mr B. Miers returned thanks on behalf of his fiancee. Among those present wore two well-known All Blacks, Mr It. McKenzie, brother of the guest-of-honour, and Mr J. Manchester, the 1933 All Black captain.
