Importing to the Dannevirko Power Board, yesterday, on the board's building*, the chairman stated that the report of the architect who had carried out the inspection had not yet been received. The hoard agreed that in the event of the architect’s report pointing to the necessity of any work being undertaken on the building, there should lie no delay through waiting for the next board meeting.
The cutting ol trees adjacent to transmission lines was again referred to at the meeting of the Dannevirke Power Board. the engineer having stated that rho tree nuisance interfered with both ihe Public Works Department and the P. and T. Department lines. Air 11. P. The engineer believed that most of the farmers were willing to cut. trees, hut feared contact with the power lines. The engineer thought that the proposal made in lii= report, if acted upon, would overcome the difficulty, and that it would he wed handled by the Minister of Public Works.
