WORK WELL LORWARD

RADIO FOR AIR SERVICES. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Jan. 21. Referring to radio equipment for the trans-Tasman air service, the Minister in Charge of Aviation (Hon. F. Jones) said to-day that the work in New Zealand was well forward and he expected to receive a report on the amount of material in hand early next week. If more was required it would bo secured.

A fully-equipped station would be provided at Auckland. The Minister said he was not sure whether it would eventually provide for both the trans-Tasman and Pan-American services.

Mr Jones said the equipment would be useful for military purposes when long-range bombers were delivered.
