Interviewed on his arrival here today, Mr J. P. Kennedy (United States Ambassador to Britain) said that the alternative to Mr Chamberlain’s policy was war and chaos. “The United States,” Mr Kennedy west on “is better off if there is peace in Europe. I strongly favour our policy of rearmament, but the United States should absolutely out of what happens in Europe.”
