MANAWATU HOMING CLUB.

The Manawatu Homing Club held its longest race of 550 miles front Invercargill over the week-end. The pigeons were liberated at 4.50 a.m. on Saturday, and the first j>air of birds arrived home on Sunday morning at approximately 6.50. The total flying time of 15 hours 59 mins. 10 secs., which is a record for the Manawatu was made by T. Andrews’s two blue chequer hens, Nos. 525 and 58.
