. PALMERSTON NORTH SALE. . Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd.,, report on their monthly auction sale of wool, sheepskins, hides and tallow, as follows :

A largo catalogue was offered to a full bench of buyers and competition was keen for suitable lots. In the main values showed a slight decline on our sale of last month. Wool values were on a par with last sale. Sheepskins: There was an casing in values from id to Id per lb. Hides: Cow hides were down id to /,d per lb while ox "hides were on a par, calfskins being slightly easier. Tallow: The market was on a par with last sale. The following is the range of values: — •Wool.—Fine crossbred. B£d to 9d; fine hoggets, 83d to 9jd: crossbred, 8d to 9d; dead, to 8d; bellies, 5d to 6d; erutchings, 4d to 6d: pieces, 4d to 6d; locks and pieces, 3d to 4d. Sheepskins.—Fine Ist, 63d to 7id: fine hoggets, 6d to 6jd; hoggets, 53d to 6id; •three-quarter-full wools, to 7d; quar-ter-half wools, 6d to 7d; crossbred damaged, 43d to sid; dead, 4|d to sid; pelto, to 3|d. : Hides. —Oxv heavy. 53d to 6|<l; ox medium. 5d to 6Jd; ox light.'sid to s|d; cow heavy. 43d to sd: cow medium, 4|d to 4J(1; cow light. 4|d to sd: yearlings, s|d to 7|d; calf light Ist. 9(1 to 91(1: calf light 2nd, 81. d to 9d: calf cut. 7jd. to Bd.
