OVERSEAS OPINION. LONDON, Nov. 17. Purveying Australian and New Zealandconditions at Dalgety and Co’s annual meeting, Hon. Edmund Parker while not pessimistic, considered the’Commonwealth was not as prosperous as last year and was likely to ex perience the natural sequence of reduced spending power. . , The New Zealand outlook was obscured by the forward policy of the Government, which vv as determined on social schemes costing twenty millions sterling. He questioned whether the population of 1,500,000 could stand the strain, which was already causing anxiety. j
